Almost All Caught Up

Image
Mandatory rest for a few weeks. Lots of stitching, drawing, reading and listening to upbuilding material. I'm almost caught up with the Winter Stitching Club ( pattern by Wild Olive). I'm able to start light house work in 1 or 2 weeks (however I'm doing some already) and I thought that vacuuming, sweeping and mopping was included in that time frame as well but for those 3 chores the actual wait is 6 weeks!!!!!! Thankfully, I have a hubby that is good at housekeeping ;-). As mentioned before, I will be using practically all the same fabrics as for the Summer Stitching Club. I printed all the tiny patterns that have been released on Sticky Fabri Solvy to speed up (or skip) the transferring process. There is a pair of mittens and a snowman that I need to embroider and stitch hexies for to be completely caught up. Hoping I'll be able to do so by Sunday then I will be ready for the upcoming pattern that will be released on Monday. Have a great weekend!!!

Summer Stitching Club New-Do

I'm very happy with my Summer Stitching Club new do! Twelve flowers, using the English Paper Piecing method, that will eventually become a lap quilt. Below is a picture of how it looked before the new do and here is the original post of it's beginnings. Midway on this post there is more on my plans for these EPP hexie flowers just in case you like to know more ;-). Currently, I'm working on the Winter Stitching Club. Using same fabrics. Will try to post an update on it in a week or so, I have an eventful weekend ahead. I've linked this post to Hexie Weekend . Oh! Before I go, have you seen the super cute free hexie embroidery pattern that Mollie posted? You have to go there and check it out! Until Next Time!

Back? Not Quite Yet

Actually, I'm not fully back... still need at least one more week ;-). This break was not as refreshing as I thought it was going to be so I'll be extending it a bit. In the meantime I leave you with my completed Doll Sampler (pattern by Charlotte Lyons).  I need to start stitching another one. They will both be turned into throw pillows for  my princesses' rooms. This one is the one that belongs to my oldest. My youngest's will  most  likely have lighter colors. I've also been re-arranging my Summer Stitching Club  (by Mollie Johansen/Wild Olive). At first I finished the top of the table  mat following the instructions of the pattern,  however I didn't have the need for a table mat  and since I've been  meaning to make  both of my girls lap quilts I thought  this was the perfect opportunity. For now, probably, my oldest will be getting a quilt made by a combination of the Summer Stitching Club with the Winter Stitching Club an...
